What is New Moon Refillery?
New Moon Refillery is a zero waste and refill store providing plastic-free home & personal care products in the Denver Metro.
Our mission is to reduce plastic waste and increase the convenience and accessibility of refillable and plastic-free products.
We carry a wide range of products, including (but definitely not limited to) dish soap, laundry detergent, hand soap, shampoo & conditioner, face wash, skincare serums, and body lotion.
How can I shop with you?
We have a few options:
- Shop in person at our storefront in the Belmar area of Lakewood
- Order online for local delivery
- Order online for pickup at our storefront in Belmar
Do you have a storefront?
We have a retail storefront in the Belmar Shopping District in Lakewood!
Learn more about our Belmar location.
Plus, check out our Events page and our Instagram page to see if we have any upcoming special events.
How do I see product ingredients?
Ingredients are listed toward the bottom of each individual product’s page, beneath the product description.
Are all of your refillable products "clean"?
We get a lot of questions about if all of the products we carry are “clean” or “nontoxic.” The honest answer is that it depends on who is asking!
Do you make your own products?
As of March 2026, we currently have one made in-house product, a body oil! See product details here.
We have several products under the NMR brand, but they're unscented base products that we add scent to. Because we add fragrance or essential oils to the products, we are required to associate them with our brand.
The descriptions and information of the awesome brands we carry are listed on each product's page! You can also check out our Brand Directory.
Do you carry food products?
We don't carry any food products. We tried for a while, but it didn't work out well when we transitioned to a storefront.
We recommend checking out Nude Foods Market in Denver for plastic-free groceries!
REFILLING IN-STORE
Placeholder for closed toggle
What kind of container can I refill?
You can refill any container you want.
The most eco-friendly container is one you already have! Bring in your empty hand and dish soap dispensers, laundry jugs, shampoo bottles, and more.
We recommend your containers be clean and dry when you come in to refill if possible.
We do have a free container shelf and glass dipensers for purchase in store if you need.
Do I have to fill my container all the way?
No! This is one of our favorite parts of refill stores.
You are more than welcome to fill just a few ounces to make sure you like a product before getting more.
We don't offer refunds for refills, so it's best to try it out first!
Do I fill my own containers or does an employee do that?
At New Moon Refillery, you are welcome to fill your own containers or we are happy to do it for you. It's choose-your-own-adventure style.
Some people like to refill their containers and others prefer to browse the store while we fill for them—it's completely up to you!
If you'd like us to fill for you, you can head to the front desk. We typically just have one person working at a time, so we appreciate your patience if we're finishing up helping another customer when you arrive.
How do I know if the product I want is in stock in Belmar?
In-store availability can vary, so please contact us ahead of time if you want to check stock levels before traveling to the store.
Our store phone is a smartphone, so you can call or text us at 720-660-8262.
DELIVERY

Where do you deliver?
See our delivery area below.
How does refilling work via delivery?
When ordering refillable products via delivery, it works a bit differently than at our brick-and-mortar store.
For liquid refills, we offer a container deposit system. Think old-school milkman style where you pay an upfront fee for the bottle and get your money back when you return it to us.
We have an FAQ section about the deposit system below.
Dry products are packaged in 100% recycled paper bags.
Are you a subscription service?
We are not a subscription service.
You can order whatever quantity you need when you need it, so you never have to worry about skipping deliveries, automatic charges, or getting more product than you need.
If there is customer interest, we may add subscription options in the future. Use our contact form to let us know you'd like this option!
How do I order for delivery?
You can order online by going to the Shop section of our website's menu. Follow the menu to Availability > Delivery to see the products available for delivery.
Due to fluctuating stock and imperfect technology as a small business, we don't offer all of our products for delivery. If you would like to shop our widest selection, come check out the shop!
For refillable products, you are able to choose the amount of product you would like. Liquid refills also require you to choose a container type before adding the product to your cart.
At checkout, you will be prompted to select your delivery date and time.
If you have any questions or problems with ordering, please contact us at [email protected].
When do you deliver?
We make deliveries on Wednesdays. Our delivery window is 8:30am - 10:30am.
Why are there fees on my order?
We charge a $5.00 store delivery fee.
We offer free delivery on orders of $50.00 and larger.
Our order minimum is $20.00 for delivery orders. There is not an order minimum for pickup orders.
Previously only required in Denver, the $0.10 bag fee applies to the whole state of Colorado as of late 2022. We deliver orders in paper bags, therefore we are required to collect the bag fee.
DONATED CONTAINERS
Placeholder for closed toggle 2
What does “donated container” mean?
Because their availability fluctuates, we only offer donated containers in store. They are no longer available for delivery orders.
A donated container is a plastic or glass container that has been cleaned and given to us for reuse. They're great if you forget your containers or want to try a product you weren't expecting to bring home!
Examples include yogurt tubs, juice bottles, and skincare jars. Our Container Donation Guidelines are in place to ensure they are in the appropriate condition.
How do I donate containers?
You can drop off containers at the front desk at our Belmar store during open hours.
Please do not leave any containers outside our doors when we are closed.
We only accept certain containers for donation—please read our guidelines to ensure they are in the appropriate condition.
CONTAINER DEPOSIT SYSTEM
Placeholder for closed toggle 3
What is the container deposit system?
Any liquid products you order for delivery or pickup will be packaged in deposit system containers.
Think old-school milkman style where you pay an upfront fee for the bottle and get your money back when you return it to us.
The following containers purchased from New Moon Refillery are eligible for the deposit program. All other sizes/types of containers are for purchase only.
Eligible for deposit system:
- 2oz glass jars with metal lid
- 50oz plastic jugs with plastic lid
- 1 gallon plastic jugs with plastic lid

How do I return the deposit system containers?
When you are ready to return the container(s), add the item Deposit Bottle Return to your cart.
Adding the item to your cart deducts $2 per bottle from your total. It also lets us know you’ll be returning the bottles. Simply leave them out for us to pick up when we deliver your next order.
Please do not remove the branded stickers on the bottles.
Instances in which we cannot accept the container back:
- If branded Deposit System stickers have been removed.
- If you have used our deposit containers to store strongly-scented items between your receipt and return and the smell lingers, we cannot accept the containers back.
- If the bottle is broken or cracked.
What if I don’t want to return the container?
Several of our deposit system containers are plastic, which work well for our delivery model. We were able to find these plastic containers on overstock so we didn't contribute to the demand for more plastic production.
Because of this, we would greatly appreciate if all deposit containers were returned to us eventually so we can keep them in circulation as long as possible!
Ultimately, you paid for the container and can keep it if you'd like.
